It’s been over a year since HIM’s sixth studio album Venus Doom was released, and speculation is growing about “what’s next?”.
HIM is a band known for it’s diversity in terms of music. Although the band’s sound has a characteristical quality that leaves no doubt it’s HIM we’re listening to – every new album is different from the previous. This leaves fans anxiously waiting to see what surprise HIM has in store for us next.
Well wait no more! Metal Hammer spoke to Ville Valo about what we can expect from the new HIM album.

Some of the Portugese fans may be asking themselves why I didn’t make this site in Portuguese. Well, when I started working on it (about a zillion light years ago) I didn’t know many portuguese HIM fans – and I still don’t know many so if you’re out there say something! Nowadays, I have more on my plate than I can chew, so I don’t really have enough time to make the same site in 2 languages, though I’ll try to do something special for them if I can get to it.

Just a thankyou note to Heartagram.com (and also Pry whom I first contacted about my website) for having featured it as Fansite of the Month of September 2009. I have had it online for only 3 or 4 days so I was abit surprised it would be featured so quickly… I guess I got lucky:) Thanks and hope you all enjoy it!
This CD, available at Chrome Dreams was released in May 2008.
According to the cd description (since I haven’t had the opportunity to add this to my collection) “the disc provides up-to-the-minute interview material from a wide variety of sources, and is entertaining as well as being highly informative.”
Also on the Chrome Dreams Record Label is this 2cd set released in October 2007. “The Lowdown” features rare interviews with the band members, where they discuss life, music, fame, touring and much more. Also included is an autobiography telling the bands story, from day one up to the date, and seldom seen photos, full color booklets, posters and a whole bunch of other features.
All this according to music non stop, since I don’t have this one in my collection either (time to update:)
Also released in October 2007 by Chrome Dreams, is the Poison Arrow DVD.
Features rare footage and exclusive interviews with the band and those who know them best, including: Ville’s father, Kari Valo – close friend and professional colleague of the band, Silke Yli-Sirnioe – HIM’s PR and Tour Organiser, Tomi Saarinen – Top Finnish DJ from YLEX, the countrys premier rock station, Steve Price – founder of Goth Metal Meltdown magazine, Natasha Scharf. Also included are location shoots, previously unpublished photographs and a host of other features.
